Grand Blue Pets: Circus Lion, Soro, Small Dog and Chicken
Pets fight beside you, level up and grow as they do. They also cost ability slots, so a strong pet takes room from your own skills.
All pets
| Pet | How to get | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Circus Lion | Drops from the Circus Lion in the center of Clown Town, about 0.25% | Only ridable mount; respawns about every 180 seconds; mount is slow for now |
| Soro | Drops from the Blonde Goblin at the first Marine base in Anchor Town, about 2% | Spawns periodically, so you may need to wait |
| Small Dog | Buy in Clown Town for 10,000 gold | Guaranteed, no fighting needed |
| Chicken | Drops from chickens (Anchor Town farm; Maple Village has three spawn points) | Takes one slot; considered the weakest |
| Celestial Guard | Roll the Celestial Human race (0.1%) | Fully customizable; can use skill scrolls and fruits you hand it |
Drop rates and locations come from the Radex Tips and Builderboy TV pet videos. The sources disagree on two points: the community Trello still marks Circus Lion and Soro as “Soon” even though both videos show them dropping, and the Trello gives the Chicken pet a 2% drop while the Radex video says about 0.5%.
Pet food and levels
Pet food is sold in Clown Town and works for every pet. Feeding raises your pet’s level and makes it grow, but food only works up to level 100; after that the pet has to fight NPCs to keep leveling. New pet skills unlock at set levels, and a skill only gains mastery when the pet actually uses it.
Pet behavior settings
- Aggressive: attacks any NPC or player outside your party that it sees. Best for leveling.
- Neutral: fights back only when you or the pet is attacked.
- Passive: never fights, even when attacked.
Click your pet’s name on the left of the screen to see its health, state, experience bar and level, and click again for its full stats and skills.
Slot cost
Pets share your ability slots. The Radex video says weak pets such as the Chicken take one slot while strong ones such as Soro take three or more. Human variants get an extra skill slot from Knowledgeable, which helps if you want to run a big pet.
