Grand Blue Leveling Guide: Fastest Route to Level 100

Grand Blue levels come mostly from repeatable quests, not from killing random enemies. The trick is leaving an island as soon as the next one gives better experience.

Level ranges by island

IslandLevelsWhat to farm
Anchor Town0-30Main quests, then the repeatable Marine Captain quest
Clown Town30-70Johnny’s repeatable quest (Clown officers) and the Buggy repeatable quest
Maple Village70+Main quest line and Maple Village repeatables (the Radex guide names Gus)

The level bands come from the community Trello island cards (Anchor Town 0-30, Clown Town 30-70, Maple Village 70) and match the routes in the Radex Tips and Builderboy TV leveling videos.

Level 1 to 30: Anchor Town

Finish the tutorial and the main quests first. One guide mentions paying 25 gold to open a gate toward a better leveling area. Then take the Marine Captain quest, defeat the enemies it asks for, turn it in and take it again straight away. While you are here, do Almighty Calvin’s quest for a free Fruit Chest; a fruit makes every later stage faster. You can also buy Brawler or Novice Swordsman for 250 gold here.

Level 30 to 70: Clown Town

At around 30 the main quest points you to the second island. Buy a rowboat at the Anchor Town docks (one guide gives 48 gold) and sail east. In Clown Town, repeat Johnny’s quest by defeating Clown officers, and add the Buggy repeatable quest whenever the story unlocks it.

Level 70 and up: Maple Village

Maple Village lies north of Anchor Town. Keep the main quest moving and farm the repeatable quests around the village. This is also where you can buy a bigger ship from Mary, learn Marksman for 1,000 gold, and start the pantry raid for Captain’s Claws.

Habits that speed things up

  • Spend stat points as you level. Put them into the stat your fighting style and fruit use. See stats and builds.
  • Watch your energy. Running dry mid-fight slows every kill.
  • Redeem codes first. Several give rerolls and Fruit Chests. See codes.
  • Join nearby world bosses. They spawn every hour and pay out Fruit Chests and Celestial Coins, but do not cross the map for one.

Is there a max level?

No cap has been published. Builderboy TV shows a level 130 character, and some weapons need level 100 or 110. Life skills are separate: each can be rebirthed every 100 levels for a rebirth point.
