How to Get Devil Fruits in Grand Blue: Every Method
Grand Blue gives you several ways to get a Devil Fruit, and none of them needs Robux. Here they are in the order a new player should use them.
1. Almighty Calvin’s quest (one time, free)
Almighty Calvin stands in Anchor Town, the starter island. His quest, called Wizard’s Apprentice in one leveling guide, asks you to recover four missing shells.
- Buy the Rusty Shovel for 25 gold. The Trello says it is sold in Anchor Town near Almighty Calvin.
- Talk to Calvin and accept the quest. Waypoints mark the four dig spots.
- Dig at each spot to collect the red, yellow, white and black shells. Enemies can attack while you dig.
- Hand the shells back to Calvin. He gives you Calvin’s Treasure, which is a Fruit Chest under another name.
Five separate videos describe this quest the same way, so it is the safest first fruit in the game.
2. Hourly fruit spawns
The official game description says fruits spawn every hour on trees and plants. Check the bases of trees whenever you arrive on an island. Other players can pick up a spawn before you, so speed matters more than luck here.
3. Codes
Several working codes include a Fruit Chest, among them RollWithIt, PocketOfStars, GrandBlueCode, FruitBasket, StarShower and TwitterGoalReached.
4. World bosses
World bosses spawn every hour on the hour. Their chests can contain Fruit Chests and Celestial Coins. One video shows that around 400 contribution earns one chest, and the top player earns two.
5. The Shop (Celestial Coins or Robux)
The Shop sells Fruit Chests for Celestial Coins or Robux. The Fandom shop table lists six bundles:
| Celestial Coins | Robux |
|---|---|
| 1,200 | 120 |
| 3,300 | 330 |
| 11,000 | 1,100 |
| 21,000 | 2,100 |
| 39,000 | 3,900 |
| 98,000 | 9,800 |
The table does not say how many chests each bundle holds. Earn Celestial Coins free from codes, achievements and purple-marked quests; see Celestial Coins.
Fruit Chest odds
| Rarity | Fruits | Chance per chest |
|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | Cannon, Spin | 53% |
| Rare | Drain, Spike, Strength | 30% |
| Epic | Bomb, Chop | 12% |
| Legendary | Wolf | 3% |
| Mythical | Flame | 0.75% |
| Celestial | Darkness | 0.25% |
These are the per-chest chances from the Fandom Fruit Chest page. The community Trello uses slightly different rarity bands (for example 5% Legendary and 0.5% Celestial), which may describe tree spawns rather than chests. The fruits page shows both.
Swapping and storing fruits
The official description says fruit skill levels are saved for each fruit, so trying a new fruit does not wipe your progress on the old one. One beginner guide also suggests selling spare common fruits for gold instead of eating every one you find.
